RETRAINING COURSES IN LEGAL SPECIALTIES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH HIGHER EDUCATION
Based on the Regulation "On Retraining Courses in Legal Specialties for Individuals with Higher Education", approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 19, 2025, “On measures for organizing the activities of the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Legal Personnel under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” retraining courses in legal specialties are established for individuals with higher education.
These retraining courses are a form of post-graduate education aimed at providing sufficient knowledge and practical skills to work in positions within state bodies and organizations that require legal education and competence.
I. Course Objective
To train personnel with the necessary legal knowledge and skills to work in state bodies and organizations and to fill vacant legal positions with professional staff.
II. Admission Procedure
Applicants submit an electronic application for retraining courses via the Institute's specially designed website, indicating the language of instruction. Personal attendance for document submission is not required.
III. Eligibility Criteria
All individuals with higher education are eligible to study in the retraining courses. (Note: There are no restrictions on the field of previous education; a bachelor’s degree in any discipline is sufficient.)
IV. Entrance Examinations and Procedure
Applicants are selected through an interview-format examination aimed at assessing their motivation for the legal profession, basic legal knowledge, and analytical thinking.
V. Forms of Study
Admissions are held twice a year: in April for distance learning and in October for traditional in-person learning.
For traditional format, classes are held in-person and full-time.
For distance format, learning is conducted both online (in real-time) and offline (video lectures, reading materials, assessments, and self-study).
VI. Course Duration
The retraining course lasts six months, regardless of the form of study.
VII. Teaching Staff
The courses are taught by the Institute’s faculty members, as well as contracted legal practitioners—judges, lawyers, law enforcement personnel, and national or international experts proficient in modern teaching methodologies.
VIII. Completion and Certification
Graduates who successfully pass the State Certification will receive a state-recognized diploma.
