RETRAINING COURSES FOR EDUCATORS WITH HIGHER NON-LAW DEGREES WHO TEACH LEGAL SUBJECTS IN GENERAL SECONDARY, SPECIALIZED SECONDARY, AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS.
Based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 19, 2025, "On measures to organize the activities of the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Legal Personnel under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan," professional retraining courses are organized for non-law graduates teaching legal subjects.
These courses are designed to provide sufficient knowledge and skills for conducting high-quality pedagogical activities in teaching legal subjects.
I. Course Objectives and Tasks
1.1 Course Objective:
To professionally retrain educators teaching legal subjects in secondary and vocational educational institutions to a high standard.
1.2 Key Tasks of the Course:
- a) To update and expand the legal knowledge of educators.
- b) To train them in the use of modern pedagogical technologies.
- c) To develop practical skills for teaching legal subjects.
- d) To equip educators with fundamental knowledge for professional growth and qualification improvement.
II. Course Admission Process
Each year by November 15, the client (ordering institution) submits a list of candidates planned for training in the upcoming calendar year. The training schedule, including course duration and participant lists, is approved jointly by the client and the Institute by December 15. This schedule is submitted to the candidates' workplaces, and they are directed to attend the courses in stages.
III. Course Delivery
The retraining courses are delivered in a distance-learning format, based on four-month curricula and programs approved by the Institute Council. Sessions are held online and offline via the Institute’s platform and other distance learning platforms.
IV. Final Assessment
Final exams are held in the form of tests, conducted online or offline. Participants scoring below 56% of the maximum score are considered to have failed. They are given one opportunity to retake the test, funded by the client or at their own expense.
V. Completion of the Course
Upon successful completion, participants receive a state-recognized diploma issued by the Director of the Institute.
VI. Privileges for Course Graduates
- Educators working in general education schools are exempt from mandatory qualification upgrades for five years.
- Those in secondary specialized and vocational institutions are exempt for three years.
