On November 8, 2023, an international scientific and practical conference was held on the topic “Rights of stateless persons and refugees: international standards and experience of Uzbekistan” in collaboration with the Lawyers' Training Center and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The purpose of the conference is to strengthen capacity on issues of statelessness and asylum, present international standards and best practices in reducing and preventing statelessness, share experience in solving these problems, and create a space for mutual exchange of experience between experts and the general public.
